We are a community friendly medical practice and pride ourselves on welcoming all individuals. We promote adolescent health. We support culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex (LGBTI) communities.
Mowbray Medical is a training practice affiliated with General Practice Training Tasmania and the University of Tasmania. From time to time we have doctors working here who are gaining specialist skills in general practice and medical students experiencing patient care outside of the hospital setting.

Our appointments are scheduled on a standard 15 minute consultation time. Extended consultations are available, so if you believe you require a longer appointment please let our reception team know.

Dr Shadi Emamisadr
Dr Shadi joined our team in August 2020. She has a special interest in women’s health and cancer research. Away from the clinic she enjoys spending time with family and friends. Fluently speaks Farsi (Persian).
Dr Mahdi Vakili MD
Dr Mahdi Vakili MD, has a special interest in musculoskeletal issues, internal medicine and mental health. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, camping, swimming and playing volley ball. Fluently speaks Farsi (Persian).
Dr Patricia Muddiman
Dr. Trish completed her training in "the Tassie of Canada" also known as Saskatchewan (less dairy, more sweet corn, and a lot more snow!). She relocated from Toronto in 2022 but has lived and worked in rural and urban communities ranging from Cape Town to the Arctic! Her passion for general practice is rivalled only by her enthusiasm for family, food and fitness! She is a keen environmentalist, practiced vegetarian and practicing bushwalker. She has cultivated a niche in women's health and is also working part time at the Women's and Children's Services at LGH.

All Doctors working from Mowbray Medical privately bill and payment is required on the day at the completion of your consultation. We accept cash or eftpos. Medicare rebate is available on the day if you have your savings card with you.
